Colors & Patterns

Most products can be ordered in your choice of base color and pattern so that you can design your own custom handpainted painting, furnishing or accessory.  Color and pattern combinations below are simply suggestions, so feel free to use your imagination.  Not sure what looks good together?  CONTACT ME and I'll be happy to make suggestions.

Standard Colors

These swatches indicate standard latex paint base colors available on furnishings and accessories and as backgrounds on paintings.  Please note that the shades shown below are approximate as they can vary between monitor to monitor.  Swatches can be mailed to you if would like to see the exact shade.  Of course, custom paint colors are available as well for a nominal charge.












Signature Patterns

These swatches indicate signature patterns paired with a standard base color (above).  Patterns and complementing base colors are your choice.  Because every item is handpainted especially for you, colors and designs are easily modified.  Of course, custom paint colors are available as well for a nominal charge.

Giraffe This pattern looks great with a safari theme for babies and toddlers, but is sophisticted enough for 'tweens too. For a traditional look, choose Ivory as a base color.Crown This pattern is a sweet design for babies and toddlers, but works great with princess or fairy-taled themed rooms as well.Fleur de Lis Now a New Orleans icon, this pattern works equally well for kids with community pride or kids with Parisian ooh la la! themed rooms. Change the color of the fleur de lis to black and it looks great in boys' rooms too.Cow This pattern looks great with a farm or western theme for babies and toddlers, but is kitschy enough for 'tweens too. For a traditional look, choose Antique White as a base color.Stripes & Dots This pattern is a sweet and modern design for a baby or toddler, but is hip enough for 'tweens and aspiring fashionistas too. Black is the standard accent color, but Brown looks great with this design too.Ladybugs This pattern is a cute design for girls of any age and looks great in garden or flower themed rooms.Bugs This pattern is a cute design for girls of any age and looks great in garden or flower themed rooms. With minor changes, this design easiily will fit into a sixties psychedlic-themed room too. Color combinations are infinite. Flower This pattern is sweet enough for babies and toddlers, but is sophisticted enough for 'tweens too. It looks great in garden or flower themed rooms & with minor changes will fit into a surf-themed room too.Leopard This pattern looks great with a safari theme for babies and toddlers, but is sophisticted enough for a 'tween "diva" design. For a traditional look, choose Ivory as a base color. For a funkier look, try Hot Pink.Mod Lime This pattern is a sweet and modern design for babies and toddlers, but is hip enough for 'tweens too. Lime Green is the accent color shown here, but Brown is available as an accent as well.Argyle The quintessential preppy look, this gender-neutral design looks fresh with Apple Green accents. Secondary accent will be either one shade lighter than your chosen base color, unless otherwise specified.Stripes & Checks This pattern is a sweet and modern design for a baby or toddler, but is hip enough for older boys and girls too. Brown is the standard accent color for this design.Lizard This pattern is a cute design, especially for toddler boys, and looks great in lizard and amphibian themed rooms.Star This design can be sweet and simple for a new baby, and looks great paired with outer space themed rooms too. Add a sprinking of moons and this design becomes a nighttime theme. The sky is the limit for color combinations with this pattern. Please specify.Western This pattern looks great with a cowby or cowgirl theme or for kids who love horses. For a traditional look, choose Red as a base color -- but lots of colors look great with this pattern. Standard accent color is Denim.Insects This pattern is quite a realistic design that both toddler boys and older boys will definitely appreciate.Sports Got a sports lover? This gender-neutral design looks great as is but is easily modified to include the sports themes of your choice. Try choosing colors to match your child's sports team.Mod Lime This pattern is a sweet and modern design for babies and toddlers, but is hip enough for older girls and boys too. Lime Green is the accent color shown here, but Brown is available as an accent as well.Harlequin This pattern can be subtle or dramatic depending on your color selections. Tone on tone colors work well with lighter colors for subtlety and Antique White looks great with stronger colors for a dramatic effect.
