Payment
Major credit cards are accepted as payment through Paypal. You do not need a PayPal account to pay through PayPal.
Sales Tax
Bobs and Bits is based in New Orleans, therefore I am required to collect 5% sales tax from Louisiana residents. This will automatically be calculated during the checkout process.
Shipping
Shipping charges are based on several things:
1) size of the item
2) weight of the item
3) delivery location
Because of all of these factors, shipping charges can vary greatly. For larger furniture items, I send a separate shipping invoice based upon actual costs. Please contact me for a quote prior to purchase.
I usually ship USPS parcel post to minimize shipping costs to you. The difference in cost between priority and parcel post is significant, however, if you prefer priority, please contact me and I can give you a quote. The seller is responsible for the difference in price and a separate invoice will be sent. Insurance is also available (at cost) for an extra fee. Please contact me prior to payment so that I can send you a revised invoice.
I require insurance on step stools, potty chairs, time out stools, rocking chairs, wall letters and growth charts. This generally runs about $2 per item & is calculated into the shipping charges. For most of my items, I use recycled shipping materials, therefore, I do not factor materials cost into shipping costs. Shipping costs reflect actual charges.
Local Orders
If you live in the New Orleans area and would like to avoid shipping charges, we can arrange for you to pick up your order from me directly. At the PayPal website, please select "Pickup" for shipping method. Please note that your order will not be processed by PayPal in this manner without a Louisiana address.
About Hand Painted Items
All items are primed prior to painting to ensure a smoother painting surface and for added durability. A minimum of two coats of non-toxic latex or acrylic paint are then applied as a base color. Designs and accents are applied with either acrylic or latex and the whole item is protected with two coats of clear acrylic. I do not use paint pens, stencils or sprayers. As with all handmade items, there may be slight variations in color and/or patterns. These products will have a professionally handcrafted look. Brush strokes, light pencil marks, etc. add to the character and authenticity of each piece.
I make every effort to keep the computer images as accurate as I can, however, paint colors may appear different on your computer screen.
Return Policy
I try my best to represent my items as accurately as possible, however, if you are dissatisfied, I will work with you to make it right or will grant a refund or exchange.
Personalized items cannot be returned -- so please contact me with any questions prior to purchasing.
If an item arrives damaged, please contact me.
